Lauren Sheehan, Songster
June, 2008

So delightful to be enjoying such long days. I'll be interrupting my local schedule this June for the annual Pilgrimage to Weiser, ID. It's a prominent fiddle contest that lasts a week, attracts all sorts who hang out to jam with the great fiddlers and cowboys, and is a string musician's paradise of sorts. I'll be back at the end of the month and look forward to seeing you at the Muddy Rudder then.
All sorts of great music at Waterfront Blues festival over the 4th of July week end. It's crowded, but worth the effort.

In a recent interview in Acoustic Guitar Magazine, she says something along the lines of how when she came up there was no stigma attached to singing a beautiful song and being a good interpreter. (pausing) It was a real pleasure for me to read that.
